Graduate Certificate Program
The overall health and sustainability of a community depends on the effectiveness of its transportation system. Transportation systems that are well planned — that are safe, efficient, maintained and continually improved — significantly influences the quality of life of every citizen, preserves natural resources, and promotes economic development.
Today's policy and planning professionals, whether experienced or new to the field, must have a thorough understanding of the broader social, political and technological issues, in addition to technical competence and skills in transportation.
The Graduate Certificate of Professional Studies in Transportation Planning focuses on policy and decision making, the urban transportation policy process, financing transportation systems, and land use patterns.
